ROMANIA, North-West Region – national & regional innovation framework
Any country that aims to raise the quality of life needs to invest in Research, Development and Innovation. These are crucial for raising productivity and competitiveness, job creations and sustainability, through advancements in science and technology.The priorities of this investment are the human resources, the proper research infrastructure and the support offered to private innovation, partnerships and technology transfer. The concentration of resources and RDI capabilities in functional innovation ecosystems around smart specializations and transitions is also important, as it creates the right framework.
The North-West Region of Romania, also known as Northern Transylvania, is one of the regions where the whole system is beginning to develop, with great prospects for sustaining and developing research and innovation capacities and adapting advanced technologies. This is mainly possible thanks to the European funding, together with the private investments that supported RDI in the past years, in this region.
