Silverdale Medical Practice

I have been with this surgery since the day it opened and I have always found it to be really good. Reception staff are lovely and always try to help. I love the new system of the online form for any queries and the option to have a call/video consultation instead of an appointment. I have had a number of appointments, of late, with Dr Allis and she is wonderful, answers all questions with explanations, listens to all my concerns and never makes me feel like I need to rush. She is a perfect example of how every family GP should be. Well done & thank you to you all

I’ve been with the practice for 48 years. I find it really easy to use the online system and I always get a call or text once I’ve submitted my request. The staff are lovely never had any issues

What's going on at Silverdale? It seems to me like you are discriminating against the elderly patients at your practice. How on earth do you expect them to get online to book appointments? Then say you will help them to fill in the online form if they ring up the surgery but only between 8 - 11. Then keep them waiting ages on the phone before they eventually do get through. Then to top it off, telling them to expect a phone call on Thursday it is now Friday and still no call. So you have to ring back yet again, to now say you can have an appointment for next Thursday. My Mum is 87 and quite frankly it just appalling the way they are treated. Surely, you could come up with a scheme that if you are over say 70 years of age you should just be able to ring up at any time to make an appointment. Do the decent thing Silverdale .... if it wasn't for my mum's generation you wouldn't be where you are today .

The service at this practice is very poor. My partner and I struggle to book appointments, now they have moved to an online system and you have only 3 hours to book, using an online service. In a 24 hour society a system is now restricted to 3 hours per day. There is no email address to use for enquiries.

I wouldn't if you want care. Let me put it this way the receptionist has just point blank refused an appointment for a 10day old baby because she forgot to put him on the system last week when he was registered there. The argumentative rude disrespectful awfully toned women who puts the rest to shame, likes to gossip in regards to people ailments making this surgery the worst. She told me there's NO DUTY OF CARE FOR A BABY! I will be contacting yhe relevant places necessary as she should NOT be working here. And she better hope the baby doesn't need urgent care because her life isn't as valued as his. I'm so angry this is supposedly a place that helps people but her and her arrogance make it am awful place. Can't get to the doctors whatsoever and if you enter the building she will make you wait until she's finished whatever she's doing excuse she in her words "too busy for people to keep coming to the desk for medication and appointments" and wonders why my anger is present when she didn't register the baby LAST WEEK

Complete lack of any kind of care, compassion, even basic human empathy. You'd struggle to find a worse doctors, I'm sure there are, perhaps the far reaches of Outer Mongolia, but in terms of England I can't think of a worse experience you'll recieve. Getting to actually talk with a Dr is like getting a one on one with a celebrity A lister. Should you hit all 6 numbers and get to speak with one of the God's within the surgery, they will show you zero care, zero compassion hell zero interest. I'm confident my Jewish ancestry didn't help my case, but this is pretty normal these days. The receptionists as much as they usually take a lot of abuse, in this case are actually friendly and try to be helpful. The office manager though, she thinks she is managing so FTSE 500 company, not an office of 10 people, very self important and not to bright. She would realise this if she ever spent a day working in the real world. She clearly takes great satisfaction from calling people during her sparsely busy day and giving them bad news or telling them what they can and can't do, why anyone would choose this as a profession I'll never know. All in all, if your with them. Then run away fast as you can. If your thinking of joining them please don't.

Due to personal circumstance i had to Ring up today to cancel an appointment for having my bloods done, This was scheduled for next week and was relatively important towards a doctors ongoing diagnosis.was even asked very unprofessionally by the receptionist why i couldnt make the original appointment. I did tell her the reason which to be fair was quite personal. The 3 appointments that the receptionist had to offer did not suit my work pattern her reply " well we have nothing else ." (Must be booked up for months hey ?) What a superb way to treat a patient I understand the NHS is at breaking point but this practice is already broke.very rude reception staff.

I came to enquire about a appointment update, the lady at reception was so rude and in a commanding voice told me that I need to chase them for updates on appointment. I'm so disappointed.
