Greetham Valley

We had our club Captains away trip here. We really enjoyed it And couldn’t fault the accommodation. The two courses were superb, but I would advise a buggy as they are quite hilly. The food for the evening meal and also the breakfast was superb. they serve a good beer in the bar (courage directors or Bombardier) as well as lagers.||The rooms are very clean and comfortable but be aware of the shower over the bath. I didn’t read the notice which warns about placing a bath Matt inside the bath before showering. I slipped and fell out of the bath onto the tile floor. I reported the incident to a member of staff whose name was Doris. She was very helpful and filled in an accident report. I cannot praise her professionalism enough. I will definitely return to this venue again. Great service, very clean, great golf course, great food what more can you ask for?

My husband and I recently got married here at Greetham Valley and what can I say other than AMAZING . When we started looking for our perfect venue we came across Greetham Valley and wow what an incredible place. We made contact with Sara and from the first email to the last she has been outstanding. Sara was attentive, helpful, kind and just fantastic. When we first met her when we went to view the venue it felt like we had known her for a while it was just perfect. We then met the lovely Karolina who was going to be running our day and she was just amazing too. She was so kind throughout the day checking we was ok and we had everything. Without you both our day wouldn't have been as amazing and special. The food was incredible, the staff were polite, the whole day was perfect. Nice enough golf courses on offer, 3 in total. A 9 hole, par 68 and par 72. A good mix throughout. I think the valley course is nicer on the eyes with more of the lakes course up and down. Staff out working all day which is always a good sign and the greens were in decent nick for the time of year. The clubhouse has a good view over the courses and food and drink is nice with a good selection. One of the guys behind the bar needs a little customer service training though. He was downright rude to some people.

Stayed in one of their golf lodges even though not golfers. Lovely, clean, spacious lodge with afternoon sun balcony. Fully fitted kitchen. Very peaceful and relaxing. Closest big town is Oakham which is gorgeous with lots of choice in good eating places. Convenient for nearby English heritage sites and other quaint towns like Oakham with its medieval castle. Lovely weekend. Highly recommended.

Had a 2 games 1 night stay with 7 others. Have been here several times over the years I recommended this venue to the others because of my previous trips being so good. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The golf side of things was great well kept courses good buggies and pleasant staff. Accomerdation good and clean. Now too the food, this was very disappointing, bar food was ok but our 3 course evening meal was poor, two of us had soup of the day CREAM of mushroom. What we got was salty brown water, no mushroom and no cream. Others had various starters that were ok.|Main courses were either ok for some or poor. My chicken breast in tarragon sauce was so dry I couldn't swallow it and the boild vegetables looked like they had been cooked and kept warm for hours and tasteless. Deserts where better and my cheese board was ok but the stilton was 50% outer crust. Why didn't I complain at the time, ( maybe I should have) just didn't want to have to put a dampener on the evening. We went to the games room to play pool and darts, only 1 dart and a pool table that took 50 pence pieces, we only had one and could not get any from the bar, disappointing for us and bad business for you we would of spent probably over £10, maybe you should get a table that takes card payments and a couple of sets of good darts,|On my previous trips the food was excellent and now it is average at best.|I hope this review helps to improve things as the golf is 5 star but the food in a 1 David from Lincoln |1.

My husband and I got married here on Saturday and what a fantastic venue this is. The staff have been incredible from start to finish, nothing was ever too much for them and they ensured our special day ran smoothly. The venue itself is beautiful, not outdated like other venues we had viewed previous to this one. We have also had endless comments from our guests regarding how great the food was which is such an important part of a wedding. A special mention to Sara and Karolina who are just wonderful, friendly members of staff and are an absolute credit to Greetham Valley. Thank you all so much for everything. I would highly recommend as a wedding venue to any couples looking to book their special day.

Had a two day golf stay here and found the hotel and golf courses very good. My clean, spacious room had great views over the course. Food good and staff very friendly. Ideal for an away trip for a group of golfers

Attended a wedding, the staff were second to none, they went out of their way to ensure the wedding went hitch free. I can't recommend them enough. The food for the event was very good and of a high quality. The rooms were spacious they could have been improved with air conditioning but let's face it we don't get that many scorching hot days in the UK so not a massive problem.
